1. In the list of categories, click Polls.

   

2. On the right, click New discussion.

3. Under "Discussion title", type a title and optionally, under "Write", type a body for your poll.

   

4. Under "Poll question", type a question for your poll.

5. Under "Poll options", type at least two options for your poll.

6. Optionally, to add an extra poll option, click {% octicon "plus" aria-hidden="true" %} Add an option.

   

7. Click Start poll.
