- Using the command line, remove any git remotes currently configured for the repository.
# Show existing remotes
$ git remote -v
> origin git@git-server/octocat/hello-world.git (fetch)
> origin git@git-server/octocat/hello-world.git (push)
# Remove existing remotes
$ git remote remove origin
