****On Sept. 12, 2024, we discovered a bug in our 2024 presidential election polling averages that was causing them to not react properly to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s withdrawal from the presidential race on Aug. 23, 2024. The bug was overestimating Vice President Kamala Harris's margin over former President Donald Trump by 0.1 percentage points. We have corrected the polling averages on our website and this GitHub page. The previously published averages for Aug. 23-Sept. 12, 2024 have been preserved [here](./2024-averages/presidential_general_averages_2024-09-12_uncorrected.csv) for posterity.
