# Goldcast
This page contains the setup guide and reference information for the Goldcast source connector.
## Prerequisites
- A [Goldcast Pro plan](https://www.goldcast.io/pricing) at least

## Setup guide

### Step 1: (For Airbyte Open Source) Setup a Goldcast Account
Setup and account in [Goldcast](https://www.goldcast.io/) and makr sure you have a [Goldcast Pro plan](https://www.goldcast.io/pricing) is required. The Starter plan does not allow for API access.
### Step 2: (For Airbyte Open Source) Obtain an access token
A simple access token is all that is needed to access Goldcast API. This token is generated [here](https://help.goldcast.io/hc/en-us/articles/22931655725723-How-To-Create-an-API-Token-in-Goldcast).
#### For Airbyte Cloud:
To set up Goldcast as a source in Airbyte Cloud:
1. [Log in to your Airbyte Cloud](https://cloud.airbyte.com/workspaces) account.
2. In the left navigation bar, click **Sources**. In the top-right corner, click **+ New source**.
3. Find and select **Goldcast** from the list of available sources.
4. Enter a **Source name** of your choosing.
5. Enter the **access_key** you obtained from Goldcast.
6. Click **Set up source** and wait for the tests to complete.

#### For Airbyte Open Source:
To set up Goldcast as a source in Airbyte Open Source:
1. Log in to your Airbyte Open Source account.
2. In the left navigation bar, click **Sources**. In the top-right corner, click **+ New source**.
3. Find and select **Goldcast** from the list of available sources.
4. Enter a **Source name** of your choosing.
5. Enter the **access_key** you obtained from Goldcast.
6. Click **Set up source** and wait for the tests to complete.

## Supported Sync Modes
The Goldcast source connector supports the following [sync modes](https://docs.airbyte.com/cloud/core-concepts#connection-sync-modes):
- [Full Refresh - Overwrite](https://docs.airbyte.com/understanding-airbyte/connections/full-refresh-overwrite/)
- [Full Refresh - Append](https://docs.airbyte.com/understanding-airbyte/connections/full-refresh-append)
Incremental modes are not supported as the Goldcast API does not contain a cursor field (modified at field for example) at the time of this writing.
## Supported Streams
The Goldcast source connector can sync the following tables. It can also sync custom queries using GAQL.
